Surgeon Consult #1
Since I’m having a total abdominal hysterectomy, 1 doctor simply can’t do all of it. Nope. I need 3. I have 2 OBGYN surgeons taking care of the obvious “hysterectomy” bits, and I have another surgeon removing my appendix. (Turns out, Endo can go as low as the intestines and as high as your lungs - so removing all “unnecessary” organs is the “logical”...

Total abdominal hysterectomy scheduled for July.
If I hear one more person say “you’ll be happy when it’s over” I’ll scream. I’ll never be happy that I’m infertile, but I will learn to deal with it. Big difference.
Trying to be Positive
Last week I met with my Endocrinologist, Dr. L to hear my final options in a desperate attempt to find something that would get my ovaries working. He informed me that sometimes a breast cancer treatment for post-menopausal women can be used as an off-label treatment for infertility. This wonder-drug is called Femara. Wishing gets you no where.
If the trials and tribulations of being infertile and trying to have a child is half as hard as actually being a parent - then I think I’m on my way to developing the endurance for “Mother of the Year.”
I honestly don’t know how horrible pain gets worse and I still (barely) sustain my life, but somehow I do. After (while?) suffering from Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome...
